March 2010

We were very fortunate that Nationwide has Cameron travel to Denver for work. He got to stay with us and to meet Arabella. She loved Cameron. She couldn't stop smiling and laughing at him. The boys got some quality "guy time" too!

March started the third month that Mom was here with us. We really wished that Dad and Jr. could have joined us too. Dad did figure out how to work the web cam. Very impressive! We love Skype. It's so nice to be able to talk and see your loved ones. It's the next best thing to being here with us!
Of course we had to do a little site seeing while Mom was here. Arabella was a little older so we started to take her on our adventures. She's getting around quite well for being so young. We had some beautiful weather in March. We spend one weekend visiting Estes Park and The Stanley Inn. For those of you who may not know, The Stanley Inn is where the movie "The Shining" was shot. It's a real hotel with real ghost stories. We toured all around. It is a beautiful place. Here's Chris and Arabella at the restaurant there. This is by the bar where a part of "Dumb and Dumber" was taped. That's Chris's favorite movie!

We tried to walk around and see if we could see anything out of the ordinary. Lucky for us, we didn't!

It's a good thing that I decided against a ski pass this year. I don't think that I would have gotten much use out of it. We wanted to support Chris and ride along with him to Vail. It is so pretty there. Just full of many breathtaking sites. So, all I did was hold the poles!
We tried to talk Mom in trying out some skiing lessons, she passed.
I think out of all of our adventures, The Garden of the Gods was by far Mom's favorite place. In fact, we got to go there twice! We tried one day and the wind about blew us over, literally. It was awful! So, we didn't make it far. We did go back to take in Gods beauty. It's just an incredible natural park with all natural rock formations.

March 20, 2010, Sadie turned 5!!! We sang to her and she got some doggie ice cream! She's just not too fond of the hat!
With all of the attention being on Arabella, we had to give Sadie some TLC. She got a day at the groomer with a bath and hair cut. I just loved the bows! I'm not too sure how they got them in her hair. Oh well, they're cute!
